Why we are building Parallelism Labs

Ayan Bhaumik · 22 Oct 2026 · 1 min read

Research and education shouldn't take turns. We want them to run side by side.

Technology moves fast. Access to it doesn't. A student in Agartala and a student in Bengaluru can read the same papers, but only one of them usually gets to work next to people who write them.

Parallelism Labs exists to narrow that gap. We do real work — research, software, systems — and we bring students into that work from the start, not after they've somehow figured it all out alone.

The name is the idea. Research and education are two lines running in parallel. Each keeps the other honest: teaching forces clarity, and research keeps teaching current.

We're starting small and in the open. Our projects are listed here, our people are listed here, and every rupee we receive or spend will be listed on our transparency page.

If that sounds like something you want to build, learn, or mentor — the door is open.
